Join us for the launch of three beautiful bi-lingual children’s books – new editions of the much-loved My Two Blankets, by Irena Kobald, with illustrations by Freya Blackwood.
The editions are Farsi/English, Dari/English and Arabic/English and were created by nine multi-lingual members of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, in workshops with a professional translator.
Professor Joe Lo Bianco, Melbourne’s global authority on bilingual education will launch the book, along with the author and the translators.
Please join us to celebrate this unique project and the contribution people seeking asylum can make to the Australian community.
Tickets are free, but make sure you register as they are limited!
