Dear wonderful librarians and collections managers,
I'm helping authors (and myself, let's be honest) to get thier books into libraries.
I'm rapt to be sending out information about other authors - starting with the fabulous Kate Mc
I've made an ebook for you - packed with details about my eight young adult fiction titles. (Including the award-winning The Girl & the Ghost) and my magnificent non-fiction titles for writers.
Click on the .pdf file above to download it and browse.
All titles are available for purchase from official library suppliers ALS, DLS and James Bennett.
*Using All 11 (and more) Senses: For primary-aged students. A hands-on workshop filled with smells, dizziness and balance tests.
*Unlocking Secret Story Codes: For high school-aged students. Breaks down story structure of well-loved films and books and shows students how to unlock the ‘code’ themselves.
These are perfect for libraries to run in combination with a local primary or secondary school. For example, Apollo Bay Library co-ordinated with the local P-12 school for three one-hour sessions for years 3-4 and 5-6 then a lunch break and then the 7-8s.
*Editing Your Own Novels: For older teens and adults with a manuscript draft.
An intensive workshop which trains writers to destroy the backstory weighing down the narrative, balance story structure, and use the ‘staircase of turning points’ to make pivotal scenes work as hard as possible.
*Self-Publishing Masterclass: For older teens and adults with a completed (or nearly complete) manuscript. An intensive class showing writers how to find the right cover designer, how to affordably format their books for publication – whether for ebook or print – and the important aspects of basic book promotion and marketing.
My daily workshop fee is $350, as suggested by the ASA (of which I'm a member).
I have a Working With Children Check, valid to 2023.
